2013 Spelling Bee Dates
March 1, 2013 - 7:00pm - West Preliminary Spelling Bee at Amherst Jr. HS
March 8, 2013 - 7:00pm - East Preliminary Spelling Bee at Sheffield MS
March 15, 2013 - 7:00pm - Regional Finals Spelling Bee at Midview West ES
The West Division was held March 2, 2012, at Amherst Junior High.

Each school selects their competitive spellers using any method they wish (bee, spelling test, recommendations from LA teachers, etc.). The maximum number of competitive spellers can be seen in the links above (schools are not required to send the maximum number of spellers allowed).

Sixteen Finalists from each Division will compete in….
The Regional Final’s Bee was held March 16, 2012, at Midview West Elementary School.
Chronicle Telegram Newspaper Article - Finals
The Champion Speller of the Finals will represent the Chronicle Telegram at the 85th Scripps Howard National Spelling Bee competitions in Washington D.C., May 28th through June 2nd accompanied by a parent.
Participation is open to seventh and eighth graders in all public, private, parochial, and home schools in the Chronicle-Telegram readership area.
