Lorain County Transportation Banquet - Oct. 14, 2010
All bus drivers in Lorain County are invited to a dinner where each district honors one of their own for a service award.  We also have a guest speaker from Ohio Department of Education in Columbus, for an in-service.  Each district sends in a list of drivers who will be attending as well as the award recipient.

Lorain County High School Art Exhibit - Oct. 18 - Nov 1, 2010
All High School Art teachers in Lorain County are invited to submit 10 pieces of their student's artwork for an exhibit to be on display from Oct. 18 through Nov. 1, 2010 at the Midway Mall in Elyria.  This includes any private schools, as well as public schools in Lorain County and Vermilion School District.
Please submit one registration form per teacher, per high school, which will allow 10 students to show their work at the Midway Mall.  All registrations are due to Robin Scarberry by Oct. 1, 2010.  Upon receipt of the registration form, adhesive labels will be made for students to attach to their work.  Guidelines for preparing artwork for the show.  Any questions can be directed to Robin Scarberry.

Meeting with representatives from various Lorain County agencies and organizations to tell what services they offer to Lorain County children and their families.

ESCLC/Chronicle-Telegram Spelling Bee - Mar. 4, 11 & 18, 2011
Participation is open to any school or home-schooling group in Region 2(Lorain, Erie and Huron Counties) who completes an on-line registration at www.spellingbee.com.  Click here for more information and forms.

  • Secretary's Appreciation Celebration - Apr. 21, 2011
    Deluca's Place in the Park
    This event is open to all secretaries, office personnel, clerks, assistants and employees (schools, business, industry, service & social agencies, community & medical secretaries, etc.).  Attendees must register in advance.  The registration fee is minimal and we can receive and invoice purchase orders from any school, agency, business, company or organization.

Lorain County Elementary & Middle School Art Show - May 2, 2011
Midway Mall, Elyria
All Elementary & Middle School Art teachers in any school in Lorain County are invited to submit 8 pieces of their student's artwork for an exhibit to be on display from May 2 through 16 at the Midway Mall in Elyria.  This includes any private schools, as well as public schools in Lorain County and Vermilion School District.   Please send entries to Robin.

 
  • District Homeless Liaison Training - Sept. 29, 2011
    Educational Service Center, 1885 Lake Ave., Elyria
    This is an annual breakfast-meeting with all Region 2 Homeless Education Liaisons to discuss reporting data, putting McKinney-Vento into practice, providing services to students experiencing homelessness, using available resources and understanding the role/responsibilities of the LEA Homeless Liaison.   Year-round consulting services to all schools is free and only a phone-call or email away.  Many resources are available on these pages to assist school administrators and families to successfully navigate through and legally deal with, this difficult subject.
