Visual Arts ID presents an opportunity for art teachers to have their students’ artwork evaluated for gifted identification, according to the ODE guidelines. Student portfolios include original works of art, such as drawings, sketches, ceramics, photographs, sculptures, videos, and/or fashion/costume design pieces. This program is available to students in grades K through 12. Testing results will be sent to districts within 30 days of the event, and gifted identification will be reported to the district EMIS Coordinator. Art teachers are also able to receive training in order to become future evaluators.
