CATHY FISCHER

Upon entering my third year as an ESCLC Gifted Supervisor, I can honestly say that working within the ESCLC, in partnership with its Gifted Consortium members, has been an incredibly rewarding experience!

After graduating from Akron University, I began my career in Education at North Olmsted Middle School, instructing gifted 6th graders within a self-contained setting. After 10 years at NOMS, I took 6 years off to stay home with my daughter, returning to teach at my daughter’s parochial school when she entered kindergarten. I remained in this position for 8 years, teaching everything from Art to PE to grades 3-8.

Earning my Gifted Endorsement opened doors at North Ridgeville City Schools, where I was the Gifted Teacher, grades 3-5, for 7 years. Completing my Master’s degree further transitioned me into my current position at the ESCLC, where I enjoy working with teachers, administrators, and students from a variety of districts across Lorain County and beyond!
