Olivia Weisman, CALT and Certified Local LETRS™ facilitator will conduct Face to Face Training in Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling (LETRS™) for educators that would complete the online Units independently. Participants will complete the online learning units/sessions between each Face to Face training. This learning supports any curriculum as it is intended to bridge educators' deep understanding of literacy with strategies that are evidence-based to support learning.
Units 1 through 4 focus on the “theoretical models from reading science, phonology, basic and advanced phonics; screening and educational diagnostic assessment.” Together we will discuss how this impacts your own instruction. These sessions will take place as follows:
