Description:
The 2016 blueprints for the Social Studies assessments in Grades 4 and 6 introduce a new question type, the Evidence Based Set. Join Dr. Katie Knapp, our Social Studies Consultant, to create a Journey Box, a hands-on way for students to explore primary resources and improve their historical thinking skills.
All grades K-8 teachers who teach social studies are welcome to use this center-based engaging activity in their classrooms. Participants will leave with at least one hand-made journey box (aligned to a grade level content statement) for immediate use in the classroom!
