TITLE:FBA, BIP and the Formula for Success
OBJECTIVES:
Participants will:  

1.Define the term Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and what it really means.

2.Identify the rationale for completing a school-based Functional Behavior Analysis (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP).

3.Name and describe key components of an appropriate FBA and BIP.

4.Apply their understanding to FBA and BIP to be able to describe student programming once these documents are developed and implemented.

PRESENTER BIO:

RACHEL TORRANCE, M.ED, BCBA, COBA

Providing individualized services for over two decades, Rachel is an expert in the fields of Behavior Analysis and Special Education.   Rachel regularly consults with and trains professional groups, parents, organizations and school-based multi-disciplinary teams (private and public schools).   She has led in-person presentations locally and at the state-level.  Using web-based learning technologies she leads ongoing seminars and courses with parents and professionals. Contracted services include Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), direct positive behavior supports, school consultations, home and community ABA programming, supervision for individuals pursuing certification and CEU trainings.  Rachel participates on the Board of Directors with Milestones Autism Resources.  She also co-chairs the Milestones National Autism Conference and the ABA Professionals Group.
