Addressing Critical Issues with Children and Adolescents
This session will involve a practical examination of mental health issues faced by children and adolescents in schools. The session will take a look at the presentation of these issues in the classroom and will examine evidence-based interventions for increasing academic achievement.
Target Audience- School Psychologists, Counselors and Special Ed Directors

Goals of this session:
· To address critical issues faced by children and adolescents in school settings (depression/anxiety, suicide, trauma)
· To present research regarding brain changes that occur when these stressors are present
· To present evidence-based interventions for increasing academic achievement with these children and adolescents
3 contact hour certificates will be provided
