Who is the State Support Team Regional Coordinator?

Betty provides the following:
- Support in school/program improvement efforts;
- High Quality Professional Development;
- Providing families, the community, and the schools technical assistance;
- Awareness of research based and best practice instructional practices;
- Positive Behavior Supports;
- Inclusive practices for all children;
- Curriculum development and support;
- Special Education (birth through Kindergarten) supports;
- Collaboration with community programs;
- Study Groups
Supports are provided through networking meetings, distance learning opportunities, collaborative work, and professional development either at a central site or in a local site, personal contacts in person, via phone or email. Technical 
Assistance provides a link between requirements, best practice and work with and for children. The Coordinator participates in many work groups representing the education of young children. Special education for preschool children is a focus in all programs as inclusive practices are the expectation in early childhood programs.
