COVID UPDATE

Update as of 2/23/21
ACTIVE SUBS:  YOU SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM PAM GAMBLE TUESDAY, 2/23, WITH THE LINK TO REGISTER FOR YOUR VACCINE. USING YOUR PHONE TO REGISTER DOES NOT WORK.  IF YOU DID NOT RECEIVE THE EMAIL, CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER BEFORE CONTACTING PAM AT [email protected] OR 440.324.5777 X1113.

Lorain County vaccine distribution will take place on February 26 at Avon MS, NR Academic Center, Elyria HS (includes NCSSA subs), Lorain HS, and JVS.
Time slots will be determined soon for your district.
  • You MUST reserve a time to get your vaccine.  Franco Gallo will send out the link as soon as he receives it.  If not you will not be admitted.  The entire process is 45 minutes to receive your vaccine.  It takes up to 30 minutes to complete paperwork and to receive your shot and then 15 minutes to wait after the shot for observation.

We will receive the Moderna Vaccine!  This is a change from previous messaging.

If you work every day in a district you will get the vaccine where your district is assigned.  If you are split between any district or you work in any of our programs you will receive it at Elyria High School. Substitute teachers who work for NCSSA are also assigned to Elyria High School.

At this point, there is no plan to do a make-up day.  I would encourage you to make plans to receive the vaccine when the time slot is given.
