Standard-Oriented Instructional Planning and Monitoring for EL Students

Target Audience:  EL Teachers or General Education Teachers that have EL students

Teachers will learn how to use data to create language goals, identify instructional resources, create instructional plans and monitor student performance. They will also have time to dig into the ELP standards and network with their peers.

Rossana Torres - Bio
Rossana Torres has been working and advocating for children in the educational setting for more than 20 years. Her career began as a teacher in San Luis Potosi, Mexico in 1996, where she taught English as a second language in K-12, and College. Rossana continued her track as an educator in Texas in 2011, where she obtained her license as a Bilingual Generalist EC-6. In 2017 she earned a Master of Arts degree in School Psychology by the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Currently, she is a student at Kent State University in the Special Education Doctoral Program, and serves students in the Northeast Ohio region through the Summit ESC.

EVENTS REQUIRING A REGISTRATION FEE:  We must receive your cancellation in writing by emailing [email protected] at least two weeks prior to the event date for a full refund. If you do not cancel or are a no-show, you/your district will be invoiced the full event fee.

EVENTS WITH NO REGISTRATION FEE:   We must receive your cancellation in writing by emailing [email protected] at least 24 hours prior to the event.  If you do not cancel or are a no-show, you/your district will be invoiced a $25 registration fee since our presenters prepare their presentation and may charge an event/planning fee.

In the case of an emergency or situations out of the ordinary, registrations are transferable to another colleague.
