Tips, Tricks, and Success Stories
Target Audience: Any school district or wrap-around provider personnel that works with youth
This class will be interactive, exciting and REAL! Attendees will learn basic knowledge to identify and recognize street drugs that have flooded our communities. All participants will be able to see and touch real drugs, and will be provided with current trends around the drug world, from slang terms to cost and methods of concealment. Lastly, attendees will hear from a local school district that has put successful programming into practice which has produced positive student outcomes.

Keynote Presenter:
Detective Derek Wallace is a current active duty law enforcement officer with over two decades of experience. Detective Wallace has an extensive career in drug operation, working both covert and overt operations. He has been a drug task force commander, lead detective in creating new drug units for departments, been assigned to the US Marshal Fugitive Apprehension Task Force, and testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee to help in changes to current drug laws.
