Target Audience:  Special Education Directors, Speech-Language Pathologists, School Psychologists, Intervention Specialists,  etc.

Disproportionality in the identification of Speech-Language Impairment (SLI) remains a critical issue with significant implications for equity and access to appropriate services. This professional development session will provide participants with practical strategies and solutions to address and reduce disproportionality in their practice.

Participants will explore:
  • Key factors contributing to disproportionality in SLI identification.
  •  Explore strategies for assessments and interventions.
  • Approaches for collaborating with educators, families, and teams to ensure equitable practices.
  • Tools for analyzing and interpreting data to make informed decisions.

This session is designed to empower districts to lead efforts in creating fair and accurate identification processes while promoting positive outcomes for all students. Join us as we work toward equity with Speech-Language services!

EVENTS WITH NO REGISTRATION FEE:   We must receive your cancellation in writing by emailing [email protected] at least 24-hours  prior to the event.  If you do not cancel or are a no-show, you/your district will be invoiced a $25 registration fee since our presenters prepare their presentation and may charge an event/planning fee.
