End Time: 3:00 PM

Registration Details:

A brand new workshop will be offered on March 9 for Reading and Social Studies K-5 teachers. Dr. Katie Knapp will guide us through a book study called, "Teaching Reading with the Social Studies Standards: Elementary Units that Integrate Great Books, Social Studies, and the Common Core Standards" by Altoff and Golston. Participants will receive a copy of the book included in the fee (a $29.95 value) and will be asked to read 3 chapters online before the workshop. During the workshop, we will choose our favorite interactive lessons from the book to teach one another so that we all leave with ready-to-implement activities for the language arts and/or social studies classroom. EduPlanet21 will allow participants to follow up with Dr. Knapp and each other after they've actually tried some lessons with students. Quality content integration is key to fitting in all the standards!
