Teachers in grades 4 and 6 are asked to come together to examine how ODE’s Blueprints for
the Next Generation Social Studies Assessments will change their current curriculum maps.
They will be asked to explore how the order of units, emphasis of content, and classroom
assessments need to be created or adapted in order to align to the format and content of the
new tests. Participants will be asked to read the blueprints before they arrive and will be
supported after the workshop through the online
social studies consultant’s continued support.
