Gift Drive to Benefit Boys and Girls Club
The ESC and Elyria Township Fire Dept. are co-sponsoring a gift drive to benefit children ages K-12.  Those interested in assisting can bring unwrapped gifts to the ESC, 1885 Lake Ave., Elyria, Mon.-Fri., 8:00-4:00 or the Elyria Township Fire Dept, 41416 Griswold Rd, 7:00am -7:00pm.  Gift cards are an option for older kids. Gifts will be delivered to the kids on Dec. 15.

World Language Boot Camp
Jan. 11 -  Presenter:  Dr. Bryan Drost - In this full day interactive training, participants will explore best practices for instruction and assessment techniques that will engage and support student language acquisition.

Successful Common PD Day!
Nearly 400 teachers, administrators and service providers in the Clearview, Columbia, Firelands and Keystone school districts attended the Educational Service Center of Lorain County's Common Professional Development (PD) Day at Keystone Middle School Nov. 7.  
ESC Receives "High Performing Designation"

The Ohio Dept. of Education has awarded the ESC of Lorain County its "High Performing ESC" designation. This is the first year ODE has given out this award.

To earn the award, our ESC demonstrated a savings of over 33% (well above the award threshold) for our client districts in five service areas - preschool, alternative school, executive searches, tech PD, and occupational therapy. These are just a few of the areas where the ESC saves our districts dollars through shared services and other cost saving measures.
