School District Board Policies and Gifted Identification & Service Plans
At the beginning of each school year, the Ohio Department of Education requires each school district to submit a Gifted Identification and Service Plan for approval, including assessment vehicles, service models, and course offerings
. The ESC works collaboratively with each
member district to prepare and submit the required document for approval on the district's behalf.
During the year, all district procedures are governed by the policies adopted by each Board of Education, respectively.
At the conclusion of each school year, the ESC works with each Curriculum Director to prepare a District Self-Report, which includes an overview of the district accomplishments in gifted education throughout the year, including professional development offered, acceleration, and gifted service.
